Mohammed VI museum in Rabat- The Moroccan Capital Rabat has a new addition to its art and cultural offering.   The long awaited Mohammed VI museum is finally open.  The three-floor museum, which took a decade to build, has already forged partnerships with the Louvre in Paris, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.

If you are planning on visiting soon, the museum is hosting until June 3rd 2015, a wide-ranging exhibit on the art of medieval North Africa and Spain during the glorious years of Andalusia.  The exhibition features 220 beautiful artifacts including ceramics, metal statues and stucco carvings to illustrate an empire that stretched from Mali to central Spain during the Middle Ages.
