Buche de Noel Recipe: The easy way

The recipe

Ingredients required for the chocolate Yule cake recipe:

Rolled biscuit

  • Sugar-100g
  • Eggs-4
  • Flour-50g
  • Cocoa powder-20g
  • Maizena-40g

Ganache

  • Chocolate-200g
  • Whole cream-20cl
  • Butter (unsalted) -30g

Garnish

  • Nougat
  • Chestnut
  • Fresh fruits can also be used

Preparation of the Yule log recipe:

Beat the egg white with sugar and gradually start adding the yolks, flour and the cocoa powder. Pour the smooth mixture into a sponge sheet and cook for not more than 8 minutes in an 180 degree preheated oven. Unmold the batter and gently roll it in a cloth and let it cool.

In the meantime, you should melt the chocolate with butter and add the whipped cream. Keep stirring and make a smooth chocolate mousse. Spread it over the cake and sprinkle with fresh fruits like raspberries or nougats and chestnuts. Refrigerate some of the mousse and serve it into pieces over the dessert.
